The Museum of Coral is hosted inside a small liberty style villa, and offers the visitors a tour to discover the beauty of one of Alghero most famous natural gifts, the red coral (Corallum Rubrum). The tradition of fishing coral is dated since the Stone Age, and has always been one of the main sources of Alghero rich trades. The local artisans have developed skillful techniques to work the coral and create amazing jewels that you can buy in the historical centre shops.

You can also visit the new Archelological Museum , located in the central Via Carlo Alberto, that contains artifacts from the oldest proto-historical period, to the Nuragic era, to the Phoenician and Roman times.
